Helpful Tips To Save You Time And
Money
- Get familiar with all of your equipment. Try browsing the
product page to see what you have.
- Make sure all of your employees are familiar with what the equipment is and how
to use it.
- Store all of your equipment in a dry, safe, clean location, including chargers,
batteries, etc.
- Keep your equipment away from water and grease. Do not wash dishes or fry food
with your units on, however if you do a simple quick tip is to put a piece
of plastic over your equipment. This will keep you euipment from corroding
from the inside out.
- Don't touch your equipment with wet hands. The more dry your hands are the
more dry the equipment will stay.
- Make sure your communicators are in the pouches. This keeps them from getting
dirty and from being dropped on the floor.
- Try wearing your communicators upside-down. This will keep water and other
foreign objects from getting inside the buttons.
- Don't eat with the equipment on. This will keep food particles from clogging
the microphone.
- 3M equipment needs to be reprogrammed from time to time. If your 3M
communicators are not working, please try reprogramming them first, if this
does not work, then give MFD & CMS a call.
- Don't open the equipment up. You risk electrical shock, you can lose many
pieces of the equipment, and it voids any possible warranty your equipment
may have.
- When you have equipment that is not working, please call MFD
& CMS as soon as possible. Don't wait until all of your equpment
is not working.
- When you have equipment that is not working, and are having it picked up for
repair, please tell the other shift managers, and have it in a location where
it is easily accessible.
- To extend the life of your batteries, do not remove them from your
communicators until the charge has been completely used.
- New batteries must be charged overnight before use.
- Please don't use tape, glue, rubber bands, or any other quick fixes to try to
repair your equipment. This will only be a temporary fix and may damage your
equipment further. Call MFD & CMS for an ARS
label or for a pick up in the San Antonio or Austin area.
- If these tips did not help, or you have any questions, please give
MFD & CMS a call.
